These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your engagement of services provided by DeskPro Climate Solutions (SSM No. 202301045782), operating from 15-2, Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Brickfields, 50470 Kuala Lumpur ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), as well as your use of our website at deskpro.pro. By requesting a quotation, booking a service appointment, or browsing our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

1. Service Agreement

1.1 Scope of Work

All air conditioning services — including installation, repair, routine maintenance, chemical cleaning, gas top-up, and diagnostic inspections — are performed in accordance with the written quotation or service order issued to the client prior to commencement. Any work that falls outside the original scope will require a separate written agreement and may incur additional charges.

1.2 Site Assessment and Access

The client is responsible for providing safe and unobstructed access to all indoor and outdoor units scheduled for service. If our technicians are unable to reach equipment due to locked premises, obstructions, or unsafe conditions, a return visit fee may apply. For installations requiring ceiling, wall, or structural work, the client must disclose the presence of concealed wiring, plumbing, or asbestos-containing materials before work begins.

1.3 Scheduling and Appointments

Service appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis within our standard operating hours of 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. Emergency call-out services outside these hours are available at a surcharge as stated in the quotation. We make every reasonable effort to honour agreed appointment windows; however, unforeseen circumstances such as traffic conditions or preceding job overruns may occasionally cause delays.

2. Warranty Terms

2.1 Workmanship Warranty

DeskPro Climate Solutions provides a ninety (90) day workmanship warranty from the date of service completion for all repair and maintenance jobs. During this period, if the same fault recurs as a direct result of our workmanship, we will rectify the issue at no additional labour cost to the client.

2.2 Replacement Parts

Genuine manufacturer parts installed by our engineers carry the original manufacturer's warranty, which typically ranges from six to twelve months depending on the component and brand. Third-party or aftermarket parts, where used with the client's written consent, carry a separate ninety (90) day parts warranty. Proof of the original service invoice must be presented when making any warranty claim.

2.3 Warranty Exclusions

The workmanship warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by power surges, lightning strikes, flooding, or other events beyond reasonable control
  • Faults arising from unauthorised modifications or repairs performed by third parties after our service
  • Normal wear and tear of consumable components such as air filters, drain pans, and fan belts
  • Units that have not been maintained at intervals recommended by the equipment manufacturer
  • Pre-existing defects disclosed or discovered during the initial inspection and documented in the service report

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1 Quotations

All quotations issued by DeskPro Climate Solutions are valid for fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quoted prices include labour, travel within the Kuala Lumpur metropolitan area, and specified materials. Prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless explicitly stated otherwise.

3.2 Payment Terms

For residential services, full payment is due upon completion of work unless a deposit arrangement has been agreed in writing. For commercial contracts and installation projects exceeding MYR 5,000, a deposit of fifty percent (50%) is required before work commences, with the balance payable upon completion. We accept payment via bank transfer, online transfer, Touch 'n Go eWallet, and cash. Cheques are accepted for corporate accounts only.

3.3 Late Payment

Invoices not settled within thirty (30) days of the due date will incur a late payment charge of one and a half percent (1.5%) per month on the outstanding balance. We reserve the right to suspend ongoing maintenance agreements and withhold future service until all overdue amounts are resolved.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

4.1 Client Cancellation

Clients may cancel or reschedule a service appointment free of charge by providing at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice before the scheduled time. Cancellations made with less than twenty-four hours' notice, or where our technician has already been dispatched, will attract a cancellation fee of MYR 80 to cover mobilisation costs.

4.2 Installation Project Cancellation

For installation projects where materials have been procured or custom-ordered, cancellation after order confirmation will result in forfeiture of the deposit paid, unless the materials can be returned to the supplier in original condition. Any materials already delivered to the client's premises remain the client's property upon payment of the corresponding material cost.

4.3 Company Cancellation

We reserve the right to decline or cancel a service engagement if site conditions are deemed unsafe, if access to the equipment cannot be reasonably provided, or if the client's requirements fall outside our area of technical competence. In such cases, any deposits paid will be refunded in full within fourteen (14) business days.

5. Limitation of Liability

DeskPro Climate Solutions carries professional indemnity and public liability insurance for all on-site work. Our total liability for any claim arising from a single service engagement shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for that specific job. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of business revenue, spoilage of perishable goods due to cooling failure, or damage to electronic equipment caused by factors outside the scope of our service.

Where our technicians identify pre-existing faults, refrigerant leaks, or structural concerns during an inspection, these findings will be documented in the service report. The Company accepts no liability for the deterioration of pre-existing conditions that the client chooses not to address.

6. Intellectual Property

All content published on deskpro.pro — including text, photographs, service descriptions, technical guides, logos, and graphic elements — is the intellectual property of DeskPro Climate Solutions and is protected under the Copyright Act 1987 (Malaysia). You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or republish any material from this website without our prior written consent. Service reports, quotations, and technical documentation provided to clients are intended solely for the client's personal or internal business use and may not be shared publicly or used for commercial redistribution.

7. Website Use

By accessing deskpro.pro, you agree not to use the website for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or introduce malicious code. Information published on this website is provided for general guidance and does not constitute professional HVAC engineering advice for any specific installation or repair scenario. While we endeavour to keep website content accurate and current, we do not warrant that all information is free from error at all times.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or the services provided by DeskPro Climate Solutions shall first be submitted to mediation administered by the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) in Kuala Lumpur. If mediation fails to resolve the dispute within sixty (60) days, either party may refer the matter to the courts of Malaysia, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

9. Amendments

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication on this page. Continued use of our services or website after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage clients to review this page periodically.
